I have had the opportunity to review this book in a dedicated article. I reviewed the entire book on [...] and provide this link here, if Amazon allows it [...]

The book is superior and insightful from top to the last page. There is the brief history of piracy, and the fact that there was a Chinese female pirate as well as two female Caribbean pirates is unkown to many. The chapters are brief as the book moves rapidly into how to secure your ship or yacht. What to watch for and guard against in port, prior to disembarking and when underway are all nicely summarized and reviewed. Securing your ship and multiple defense measures are given also.

This book is delightfully-paced, crisp, succinct but complete and never boring. I am not a sea person but I felt informed, "captivated" and invested in the time and effort and thinking required to be safe ar sea.

If you are a "yachts person" or have interest in sea transport and travel this book is a must. If you have a peripheral interest in pirates, or sea commerce, the book is delightful.

In my opinion for anyone engaged in sea commerce to miss or ignore this book would be a mistake.
